Fenton, MO – Semifinal Saturday took place at the Fenton Forum last Saturday as 30 teams looked to advance to championship Sunday and have a chance at a 2017 state title.


The Junior High 3 semifinals took place first as #1 Affton squeaked by #5 Francis Howell Central with a 7-6 win and #3 Rockwood Summit took down #2 Holt 8-4.  #1 Affton would take on #3 Rockwood Summit for the JH3 championship on Sunday morning.


In the Junior High 2 division, #4 Fort Zumwalt South upset #1 Fort Zumwalt North with a 6-2 victory and #3 Lindbergh won a close contest against #2 Holt by the score of 4-3.  #3 Lindbergh would square up against #4 Fort Zumwalt South in the JH2 final on Sunday.


The Junior High 1 semis saw #3 Hazelwood advance with a 7-6 victory over #2 Parkway South and #1 Rockwood Summit dominated #4 Fort Zumwalt West with a 14-7 win.  #1 Rockwood Summit would faceoff against #3 Hazelwood on Sunday afternoon for the JH1 championship.


In the C-Division, #2 Oakville slid by #3 Rockwood Summit 6-5 in overtime as Oakville’s Jacob Sisson netted the game winning goal and #1 Fort Zumwalt West defeated #5 CBC 5-2.  #1 Fort Zumwalt West would matchup against #2 Oakville for the C-Division final on Sunday.


The Junior Varsity semifinals had #1 Seckman take down #4 Fort Zumwalt West 6-4 and #2 Francis Howell North defeated #3 Parkway South also by the score of 6-4.  #1 Seckman would square up against #2 Francis Howell North on Sunday for a chance at the JV championship.


The Varsity 3 semifinals had #3 Columbia put together an offensive outburst to defeat #2 Affton 15-5 and #1 SLUH advanced with a 5-2 win over #4 St Marys.  #1 SLUH would take on #3 Columbia for the V3 state championship.


In the Varsity 2 division, #4 Lindbergh had no problem with #1 Fort Zumwalt North with a 10-5 win and #3 Seckman also had a relative easy road to the final as they defeated #7 Westminster 10-4.  #3 Seckman would faceoff against #4 Lindbergh for the V2 title on Sunday.


In Varsity 1, #5 CBC was awaiting the winner of #2 DeSmet and #6 Rockwood Summit as DeSmet escaped with a 8-6 victory to win the best of three series 2-0.  #2 DeSmet would take on #5 CBC for the V1 state championship at 7pm on Sunday at the Fenton Forum.
