Ballwin, MO – Friday night at Midwest Sport Hockey and the Fenton Forum started with Varsity 3 quarterfinal games with #4 St Marys advancing to the semifinals with a 1-0 win over #5 Wright City and #1 SLUH had a dominating 12-2 victory over #8 Washington to also move on in the V3 playoffs.  #3 Columbia had a convincing victory over #6 Lafayette as well which would set up the Varsity 3 final four.  #1 SLUH will take on #4 St Marys and #2 Affton will square up against #3 Columbia on Saturday night at the Fenton Forum for a chance to advance to the V3 championship game.


The Varsity 1 semifinals continued on Friday night at the Fenton Forum as #1 Oakville evened the best of three series at 1-1 with a 10-6 victory over #5 CBC.  Though the Cadets struggled in game two they rebounded in game three and advanced to the Varsity 1 championship game with a 4-2 win over Oakville.


There was one C-Division quarterfinal game yet to be played as #2 Oakville took on #7 Francis Howell, with Oakville advancing to the semis with a 5-1 victory.  The C-Division final four is set with #2 Oakville facing off against #3 Rockwood Summit and #1 Fort Zumwalt West taking on #5 CBC on Saturday.


The Junior Varsity quarterfinals took place at both rinks on Friday as #4 Fort Zumwalt West took down #5 Francis Howell Central 7-3 and #2 Francis Howell North defeated #7 Northwest 10-2.  #3 Parkway South also advanced to the JV semifinals as they defeated #6 Holt 9-3.  The Junior Varsity semifinals are set as #1 Seckman will matchup against #4 Fort Zumwalt West and #2 Francis Howell North will take on #3 Parkway South on Saturday.


There was one Varsity 2 quarterfinal game remaining to be played as #3 Seckman advanced to the semifinals with a 7-3 win over #6 Northwest.  The Varsity 2 final four is set as #1 Fort Zumwalt North squaring off against #4 Lindbergh and #3 Seckman will faceoff with #7 Westminster on Saturday night.
