Rochester Hills, MI – The Rochester College Hockey program is excited to welcome Trevor Pode to the Warrior program.

Trevor is native of  St. Claire Shores, MI and has been a part of the Motor City/Motor City Hawks organization for the past three years as the organization has grown and transitioned from the MWJHL to the USPHL. Pode is the leading scorer in the history of the Motor City organization, scoring 84 goals and adding 74 assists for a three year total of 158 points. His highest point total came with the Monarchs in the 2014-2015 season when he put up 33 goals and 76 points. Trevor missed a significant portion of the 2016-2017 season for the Hawks but still managed to put up 33 points in 15 games played,  including 5 goals and 2 assists in 2 playoff games.

Trevor’s comments on becoming a Warrior: “I chose Rochester College because of the small campus and it being close to home. I am excited about playing college hockey and helping the organization win a national championship. I think I will bring a scoring touch to the lineup and a good work ethic and my expectations for the 17-18 season are to be ranked in the top ten in the nation and make a run at a national championship.”

Coach Cagnet’s comments on Trevor: “I am really excited to be bringing in Trevor Pode this coming year. He has worked very hard to get where he is at academically and athletically and I look forward to watching him continue to work hard. I have enjoyed working with Trevor and appreciate how supportive his family is of this decision. He comes from a great organization and has received excellent coaching from Coach Jason McCrimmon. Trevor has been a very productive player during his time in juniors and we are looking for him to continue to work hard so that he can continue to produce as a Warrior.”

Coach Jason McCrimmon on Pode’s commitment: “Trevor gutted out a tough campaign this year but contributed greatly in the games he did play, proven by his more than two point a game performance. His storied history for us speaks for itself. He became such a big part of this team, we struggled at times trying to figure out how to replace his scoring when he was hurt. He is a fantastic kid who will be missed around here and I’m very proud of his decision to go to Rochester.”
