LAKE TAHOE, Nev. — The Butte Cobras bounced back from Friday night’s loss in a big way Saturday night.

Augusts Veidenbaums, Petr Panacek and Connor Wherrett each scored a pair of goals as the Cobras skated to a 10-3 laugher over the Lake Tahoe Icemen. Stats

Jacob Rudloff, Jan Marcilis, Taylor Karr and Derek Smith also scored goals in the lopsided win. Marcilis registered four assists. Panacek and Smith each assisted on two goals.

Eric Ahlberg picked up the win between the pipes as the Cobras outshot Lake Tahoe 49-20.

Josh Poirier, Bogdan Klochkov and Gabel Lonshore scored for the Icemen.

The Cobras improved to 31-18-2 with the win. They’ll close the regular season against the Icemen on Sunday.

Butte has secured a home playoff series.
