LAKE TAHOE, Nev. — Five Lake Tahoe players scored a goal Friday night, and the Icemen beat the Butte Cobras 5-4 in the opening game of a season-ending three-game series. Stats

Justin Poirier, Bogdan Klochkov, Nicholas Davidow, Ivan Radetski and Bryce Patterson scored in the victory.

The Cobras (30-18-2) fell despite getting a hat trick from Petr Panacek and outshooting the Icemen 52-22.

Derek Smith also scored for the Cobras. Jan Marcilis assisted on three goals, while Tyson Liverance assisted on two.

The teams continue the series Saturday night.
