There are a set number of spots for this tournament and if you want to participate I urge you to register immediately as this event will sell out.

The King of the Rink Tournament works as follows:
1) All players draw cards out of a deck of cards, all goalies draw cards as well.
FOR PLAYERS:
2) Once you draw a card out of the deck you will play four round robin games of 4 on 4 hockey that last 10 minutes each. All penalties are penalty shots, and there are no faceoffs. The puck is taken out of the net immediately after a goal is scored.
3) After each game you will be assigned points: 3 points for a win, 2 points for a shootout win and 1 point for a shootout loss.
4) At the end of the round robin format each suit (spades, diamonds, hearts and clubs) will be ranked according to how well they did in the standings. For example the heart, diamond, club and spade with the highest amount of points each will form the #1 ranked team for the playoffs and that will continue until we establish 5 playoff teams. The goalie with the most points can pick which team they want to play for, then the goalie with the second most points can pick which team they would like to play for and so on.
5) Teams will then participate in a knock out playoff format. If a team wins they move on, if a team loses the players have been eliminated.
6) In the final game of 4 on 4 the winning team will then be split into 2 on 2.
7) The winning team of the 2 on 2 will be eliminated. The final 2 players will then play 1 on 1.
8) The winning player will then play the goalie that is left in a best of 7 shoot-out. The winner of this will be declared King of the Rink.
FOR GOALIES:
2) Once you have reached the playoffs if your team loses then you have been eliminated from the tournament.
3) The last two teams to play each other will consist of the final two goalies in the tournament. They will then play against each other in a best of three playoff. Those best of 3 games include: the final 4 vs 4 game, the 2 vs 2 game and the 1 vs 1 game. The goalie with the most wins in these three games moves on.
4) That goalie will then compete against the winning player in a best of 5 shoot-out. The winner will be declared King of the Rink.
