Meet #53, Sophomore Shawn Lombardo

Shawn Lombardo was another important pick up for the team this season. Shawn brings an unrivaled size and strength to the blue line and is another sophomore who has two more years to grow with the team and the club.

Shawn has been playing hockey since he was just four years old and his favorite hockey experience was winning a championship with one of his club teams. His favorite NHLer is the one and only, All Star Captain, John Scott. Shawn used to play baseball, but hockey is his only sport now. He wouldn't divulge his celebrity crush, but did tell us he prefers rap music.
 
The Abbypuck player that Shawn admires the most is Thomas Panella because of his hard work and leadership skills. His favorite quote is from fellow sophomore, Perry Carpenter, who tells the boys to "trust the process." Shawn's favorite thing about being a part of Abington Ice Hockey this season is his teammates and his ultimate goal for this season is to help the team make it to the playoffs.
 
Shawn is a great addition to the team and can be a lethal force both blocking shooting lanes for our goalies and taking away the eyes of the opposition goalie. We look forward to seeing this group of players develop together over the next few years.
