ALUMNI UPDATE: BITETTO SIGNS WITH NASHVILLE

Nashville, TN- Anthony Bitetto, formerly of New York Apple Core, has signed a two-year entry-level contract with the Nashville Predators.

 

Bitetto joins the Predators organization after two years at Northeastern University. In 72 games with the Huskies, he scored seven goals and assisted on 28 others for 35 total points. He led the team in scoring by a defensemen in both of his seasons and was elected assistant captain as a sophomore this past year. As a freshman, he received the team’s Rookie of the Year award and was named to the Hockey East All-Rookie Team.

 

The Island Park, NY, native played parts of the 2007-08 and 2008-09 seasons with Apple Core, appearing in 47 games, scoring four goals and tallying 15 assists.

 

He was chosen by the Predators in the sixth round (168thoverall) in 2010.
