Lake Placid, NY- Six EJHL alumni from three clubs were honored by the American Hockey Coaches Association at the NCAA Division III Frozen Four banquet.
Milwaukee School of Engineering senior Connor Toomey (South Shore Kings) was named to the West First team to finish up his record-setting career. He owns the school record for wins (64,) goals against average (2.32), save percentage (.913), saves (2480), and shutouts (10). He won all-MCHA honors this season after being named the MCHA’s player of the year and a second-team All-American as a junior.
Curry College senior Ryan Barlock (Capital District Selects) was named to the East First team after leading Curry in scoring with 11 goals and 29 assists in 27 games this season. He played in 109 games in the last four years, scoring a total of 108 points.
South Shore Kings alumni Kyle Thomas (Norwich University) and Jordan Lalor (Bowdoin College) were named to the East Second Team along with former Capital District Select Mike Grace (SUNY-Plattsburgh). Thomas, a junior, tallied 37 points this past season (16 goals, 21 assists) and is just three points shy of the 100-point mark.
Lalor, a senior, scored eight goals and 19 assists this past season, good enough for second on the team and more than all other NESCAC defensemen. His 1.12 points per game were fifth among all Division Three defensemen. In four years, he played in 97 games and tallied 66 points.
Grace anchored the nation’s fourth-best defense, limiting opponents to two goals per game and contributed a goal and twelve assists in 28 games.
Nick Dupuis, a senior at Skidmore College who played for the Springfield Pics, was named to the East Third team. The playmaking defenseman led ECAC East defensemen with seven goals, including two game-winners, and fifteen assists (22 points) and his 76 points in 104 games places him in Skidmore’s top twenty in all-time scoring.
