SHARK ATTACK - VITOLINS LEADING THE WAY

Centerman Martins Vitolins has settled in quite well with the Long Beach Sharks since arriving from Latvia this past August and has wasted little time in helping his team get off to a fast start in the NA3HL Coastal Division. After only 9 games played Vitolins has racked-up a staggering 37 points with 15 goals and 22 assists an accompishment that has not been overlooked by his Head Coach Mike Stanaway. "Martins has done everything we've asked of him and works hard on every shift. He's always looking to get better and is a pleasure to Coach. He is a special player with a bright future ahead of him", said Stanaway.

Vitolins has also had the luxury of playing with former team mate Swedish winger Oskar Lindberg from the 2014-15 Wings HC Arlanda. Lindberg has been the perfect complement for Martins having himself tallied 10 goals and 23 assists for 33 points in 9 games played. "Oskar has all the tools to play at a high level" said Sharks owner Jim Loughran. "He's a smooth skater that reads the play well as it develops, the chemistry he has with Martins is something special to watch every time they hit the ice" said Loughran.
