AMARILLO, TX – After over a week of battling one another, the Amarillo Bulls will finally be able to take on a different opposition.

The Amarillo Bulls host the Odessa Jackalopes tomorrow (Saturday) night at 7 pm at the Budweiser Bull Pen in the Amarillo Civic Center. This is the lone pre-season game for the Bulls prior to the launch of the 16-17 season set for next weekend.

Tickets for this game are just $5 for all sections except for the Bud Zone and can be purchased by calling 806-242-1122 or drop by 301 South Polk in the Amarillo Building. Fans can also get their tickets at the Civic Center Box Office and all Panhandle Ticket locations including United Supermarkets.

There will be no radio or Fast Hockey for Saturday’s game but fans can tune in via Internet audio and catch all of the action with the voice of the Amarillo Bulls Denis J. Puska. Pre-game Show coverage begins at 6:50 pm followed by the puck drop shortly after at www.amarillobulls.com powered by UStream.

The Bulls have nine returners to their line-up for this season including familiar faces Jeff Solow, Matt Nehls, Phil Fromberger, George Mika, Charlie Singerhouse, Jacob Nitche, Michael Forman and Alex Cathcart. There are several new faces in the line-up including goaltenders Nikita Babitsev and Kyle Madore as well as forwards Hayden Broomhead and Kosta Likourezos from Canada.

The Odessa Jackalopes will also have nine regulars back including goaltender Jon Flackne, the Zech brothers Cooper and Zach, forwards Connor Wood, Ryan MacKeller and defenseman Christian Hausinger who was with the team two years ago.

The Amarillo Bulls begin their regular season next Friday, Sept. 9 with a visit to Wichita Falls to face the Wildcats at Kay Yeager Coliseum at 7 pm. The Jackalopes won’t begin their campaign until next Saturday, Sept. 10 when they return to Amarillo.
