The North Prevails!!!! The North Prevails!!!

Date:  Source: Southfork Slowpitch

The night started out with a bang for the North Stars as they jumped all over Team XIV pitcher Kyle Robinson 14-0 in the first inning.  The offensive explosion in the first inning was led by hits from virtually every member of the North Team.  Big flies by The Lawmen's John GIlliam and Red Top's Nate, helped plate the first 9 batters to come up for the North Team.

Kyle Robinson however weathered the storm and kept his team in it as the South Team crawlbed back to tie the game in the sixth 21-21.  By the time the dust settled Red Top's Nate Dog...  Regulated...  by collecting 3 Homeruns and 10 RBIs.  Additionally, the North Team had great offensive nights from John Gilliam, who belted two of his own Homeruns, in a 4 for 5 evening, Red Top's Todd McElrath went 5 for 6 in the lead off role, Scotto's Andrew Karkota went 4 for 5, and yes...   even the 18 year veteran, The Commish, MLC Landscaping's Tim Wilson got in on the act going 5 for 5 with a triple late in the game.  The pitching victory goes to Timm's Petrolem Anthony Roza.

On the losing end, the South Team was lead by some big offense in the form of the reigning..... defending..... undisputed 2015 Southfork Slowpitch MVP Joe Candela.  Candela, from the Otis Ford team, belted three Homeruns as well.  Touch of Grey's Craig Jobes added two more of own monster shots.  Touch of Grey's Brian O'Connor when for 4 for 5, checking in late with a big fly single.

All in all, it was a great night of fun.  The North Champion, whether it be Timm's Petroleum or MLC Landscaping will have home field in the Town Championship series next week.  A fantastic night as the top candidates for league MVP; Candela, Gilliam, Jobes, and Red Top Nate, put on displays.
