The Cape Cod Islanders are pleased to announce that 2016-17 unsung hero, Maxime Dordet has signed his first professional contract in his home country of France for Remparts de Tours in Tours, France. The signing of Dordet continues the strong upward movement from the Islanders 2016-17 Eastern Conference championship team.
Dordet is a native of Paris, France and he enjoyed a breakout season for the Isles appearing in 40 regular season games scoring 19 goals and 24 assists and was a +30. He also appeared in all 6 postseason contests netting 2 goals and 6 assists for 8 points.
"We are happy for Maxime, he is a great young man and will an exceptional pro hockey player." coach Punsky said "His character is second to none, as he proved when his home town of Paris endured horrific attacks, he was able to focus on his job while being concerned for his family and friends. We would have loved to have him play for us again this season, but we are excited to see his career grow and are proud that he is a member of the Islanders alumni. We wish him the best of luck."
