The Aberdeen Wings are proud to announce their partnership with Camp Dream Makers for the 2016 Specialty Jersey Auction, which will be help on Saturday November 12th following the game vs. Minot.  Camp Dream Makers is for children and young adults with disabilities ages 5-21, with no exclusions as to income or disability.  The camps take place in June and July for two weeks each month.  For 6 hours a day campers can take part in activities that they may not be able to the other 50 weeks of the year.  The camp can have up to 30 campers in each session, and campers come from all over South Dakota and neighboring states to participate.  These amazing men and women were dealt disabilities that are physical, neurological and also include hearing and speech.  These disabilities do not stop them from having fun just like anyone else.

Some of the activities they participate in include swimming, boating, roller skating, fishing, bumper boat and go cart racing, visiting Storybook Land and wylie park, bowling, archery, glass cutting, Spurs horseback riding, magic shows, talent shows, karaoke, adaptive skiing and watching model airplanes fly.  This camp also provides the parents two weeks in the summer time when they do not have to worry about the campers care.

Camp Dream Makers is a part of the Aberdeen Y and a United Way program, but is heavily dependent on the generous support of the Aberdeen area.  Please help support Camp Dream Makers and make a difference in a child’s life.  Help them realize their dreams, help them have fun, and help them smile!

Please mark your calendars and plan to attend the November 12th Wings game and stick around to support a worthy cause!
