2018 Summer Champions Crowned

SOMERS, Conn. - The regular season in the inaugural 2016 season has concluded. In the 18U division, the Connecticut Moose claimed the top spot and the Western Mass DiamondJaxx claimed the top spot in the 16U division. The Moose have earned a first round bye as the #1 seed and is one game away from the Championship round. The DiamondJaxx earned the #1 seed and will have home field advantage through the duration of the the playoffs. The double-elimination league playoffs are scheduled to begin on Tuesday July 26th.
Below are the first round matchups on Tuesday:
16U - #4 All-Pro Rebels at #1 Western Mass DiamondJaxx, 5:30pm at Granby MA High School
16U - #3 Dream Bat Red at #2 Dream Bat Black, 5:30pm at Somers High School
18U - #3 Dream Bat Red at #2 Dream Bat Black, 2:30pm at Somers High School
The Moose awaits the winner of the Dream Bat Red/Dream Bat Black game on Wednesday July 27th at Kingswood-Oxford.
The Moose finished the year with a 15-1 league record after sweeping all but one of the league teams in the season series. Dream Bat Black finished the regular season with a 9-7 record with big sweeps over Dream Bat Red and Zorian. Dream Bat Red rounded out the standings at a 3-13 record.
The DiamondJaxx finished atop the standings tied with Dream Bat Black with a record of 9-3. Dream Bat Black lost on the third tie-breaker to determine the #1 seed. In third was Dream Bat Red, who finished 3-8-1 in league play. Rounding out the 16U division is All-Pro, who finished 2-9-1 in league play.
The league playoffs will be hosted by the higher seeds Tuesday-Friday and on Saturday, the playoffs will conclude with the Championship Games beginning at 9:30am at Western New England University.
