The Carolina Vipers (22-12) came out firing, but couldn't hang on to the lead, ending up on the losing side of a 7-4 ballgame against the Concord Weavers (11-24) on Monday at Concord HS.

A wild pitch gave the Concord Weavers the lead in the sixth inning.

Nick Coble went a perfect 2-2 at the plate for the Concord Weavers. He homered in the third inning and singled in the fifth inning.

Andrew Llewellyn racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Carolina Vipers. He homered in the third inning and singled in the eighth inning.

Shane Bishop recorded his first win of the year for the Concord Weavers. He allowed four runs over six innings. He struck out seven, walked three and surrendered four hits.

Braden Larkey was charged with his third loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in six innings, walked two and struck out four.
