Despite the loss, the Concord Weavers' David Dunlavey dominated the Lake Norman Copperheads' batters, giving up one run and striking out six.
Matthew Freeman did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Concord Weavers, reaching base three times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He homered in the second inning and singled in the fourth inning.
Devin Bagwell improved to 1-2 on the year by picking up the win for the Lake Norman Copperheads. He struck out one, walked one and surrendered no hits.
Nick Coble ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed one run.
