Sam Sustersic went 2-4, sparking the Piedmont Pride (26-6) to a 6-2 victory over the Carolina Vipers (20-10) on Monday at Winthrop University.

Jason Goe picked up the win for the Piedmont Pride. Goe pitched five innings and allowed no earned runs, four hits and no walks while striking out two.

Bowe Behymer had two extra-base hits for the Carolina Vipers. He tripled in the third inning and doubled in the fifth inning.

Kyle Peterson was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just four innings, walked three, struck out two, and allowed two runs.
