The California Bees get on top of the Nevada Big Horns early but can't hang on in 10-3 loss

The California Bees (10-20) came out firing, but couldn't hang on to the lead, ending up on the losing side of a 10-3 ballgame against the Nevada Big Horns (15-17) on Saturday at Golden Eagle Park.

While the California Bees led until the fourth inning, the Nevada Big Horns worked their way back and took the lead on an RBI double by Alec Leighton.

The Nevada Big Horns blew out the California Bees thanks to 13 hits, including zero extra base hits. The Nevada Big Horns scored four runs in the sixth on the Nevada Big Horns scored in the sixth on an RBI single by Justin Mannens, an RBI single by Cole Lavergne, a single by Kyler Brudwick, a two-run single by Joey Krug, and a single by Izac Bauer.

Krug racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Nevada Big Horns.

Zachary Muenster got the win, running his season record to 2-5. He allowed three runs over seven innings. He struck out five, walked none and surrendered eight hits.

Sam Reinertsen (2-2) took the loss for the California Bees. He lasted just four innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed four runs.
