The Cape Cod Islanders are pleased to announce the signing of Nick Dulac for the 2016-17 season.  Last season Dulac split time between the South Shore Kings, USPHL, and Bellingham High School.  For the Kings he scored 2 goals and added 6 assists in 28 games as a defenseman.  He returned to his hometown high school team at Thanksgiving in Bellingham where he split time between forward and defense and it paid off. He scored 24 goals and 7 assists while leading Bellingham to the Massachusetts State Tournament for the first time in 14 seasons.

"We are so excited to be adding a player of Nick's ability to our roster." Head coach Jay Punsky said  "He plays a strong defensive game, he skates very well and has huge offensive upside.  We are looking for him to come in here and have a tremendous year.  He's a blue chip player and I can see him being a tough player for our opponents to game plan for."

Dulac had major interset from other Tier II and Tier III programs this summer, he ultimately decided to play for the Islanders after a meeting with coach Punsky, team President Dan Hodge and his family.  "I told him he has what we are looking for in a defenseman and he exemplifies what it means to be an Islander.  The fact that Nick chose here over the other programs speaks volumes to the job coach Punsky did last season. I am excited to see him in our jersey and working with him at practice."  Hodge said
