LEGENDS BASEBALL ANNOUNCES FALL 2016 PROGRAM

Legends Baseball Instruction – LBI will be fielding 9U to 12U fall baseball teams this is year.

LBI Fall teams are comprised by current, past and new players. A credible coach recommendation and or LBI player referral is needed to be accepted on a team. There are no formal tryouts. LBI Fall teams consist of 11- 13 players with games played on Sundays.  Players may participate in other sports as long as they can commit to making scheduled baseball games.

LBI 12U fall baseball will feature two teams, LBI Blue and LBI White. LBI Blue teams are comprised of advanced skilled players and participate in highly competitive leagues. This fall the LBI Blue team will play 60/90 field format with High School rules. Home games will be played in East Hanover. LBI 12U White will play on a 50/70 field format under league rules. Experienced 12 year old and advanced 11 year old players make up the LBI White team. Some 12U White players will be called “up” to play LBI Blue games as needed.

LBI 9U – 11U teams will participate in fall leagues commensurate with their skill and maturity level. This will be determined as the team is formed and during pre-season practices. Games are in played in Essex County on Sundays from September through October.

LBI 8U Fall program is an instructional program geared to new and intermediate players. This program is personally run by Tony Santomauro, Legends Baseball Instruction Founder and General Manager. The program is free of charge and held at Grover Cleveland Field, Essex Fells from 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm. This six week “team” begins play Friday, September 11 and concludes Friday, October 20.  Baseball fundamentals, instruction and skill development are at the core of the training. Inter squad games and possible scrimmage games are incorporated in the program depending on the “teams” ability.

LBI coaches are experienced baseball adult player parents. They are carefully screened and interviewed by Tony Santomauro. “Daddy Ball” is strictly forbidden and closely monitored. A phone interview, followed by an in person interview along with three references are part of the process of becoming a Legends Baseball Instruction coach.

Legends Baseball Instruction players are welcome to attend the “End of Summer” baseball camp August 29, 30, 31 and Sept. 1 from 9:00 am – 2:00 pm. The cost for players is $59. In season practices are held Friday evenings, 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm.
