The Moose Jaw Miller Express (9-18) came out firing, but couldn't hang on to the lead, ending up on the losing side of a 4-3 ballgame against the Swift Current Indians (18-7) on Saturday at Ross Wells Park.

While the Moose Jaw Miller Express led until the ninth inning, the Swift Current Indians worked their way back and took the lead on an RBI double by Kyle MacDonald.

Liam Goodall went a perfect 4-4 at the plate for the Swift Current Indians. He doubled in the fourth inning and singled in the second, seventh, and ninth innings.

The Swift Current Indians got the win thanks in large part to Luke Wiechec's dominant, eight-strikeout performance. Wiechec allowed three earned runs on six hits and two walks over eight innings.

Jeremy Stidham racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Moose Jaw Miller Express. He homered in the second inning and singled in the fourth innings.

Mark Baughman ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 1 2/3 innings, walked none, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
