DRAFT REPORT: Grant Johnson

In the sixth round of the 2016 NAHL Draft with the 133rd overall selection, the Minnesota Magicians drafted Grant Johnson, a forward from North Dakota who has starred at Grand Forks Central High School for the past two seasons.
 
Johnson recently completed his junior season at Grand Forks Central, where he has been one of the team's top producers for the past two seasons. As a sophomore, he played in 26 games and registered 15 goals and 27 assists for a total of 42 points. During his most recent season, Johnson improved his numbers with 32 goals and 43 points for a total of 75 points, which was the most of any hockey player in the state of North Dakota.
 
Speaking about drafting Johnson, Magicians Head Coach and General Manager Scott Meyer said "Grant is a smart, skilled forward from Grand Forks. He is a young talent that we are excited to get in the draft."
