Stars & Stripes Recap 2016

Once again, our AAA Stars & Stripes tournament was a great success! Minnesota Made hosted 138 teams from across the country. Our visiting American teams included the Colorado Thunderbirds, Tulsa Jr. Oilers, and the Anaheim Jr. Ducks. We even had some amazing Canadian teams bring their game such as the Manitoba Mustangs, Winnipeg Chiefs, and the Toronto Jr. Raiders (to name a few).

In all, the Star & Stripes tournament had over 2,000 players from all over North America. We even had some special guest coaches! Jason Pominville coached the ’09 team for MN Made, Ryan Suter was working with the Madison Caps, and Nino Niederreiter coached with the Jr. Ducks. Naturally, who could forget that country singer and American Idol winner Carrie Underwood stopped by to take in a game!

Congratulations to all of the Stars and Stripes teams for coming out and working hard on the ice! Special thanks goes to our referee’s, staff, and all of the parents for the hard work you do to make this tournament a success!

Next year’s Stars & Stripes tournament will be held May 4th-7th, 2017. If you are interested in having your teams compete, contact Steve Mularky at 952-641-6886 or email at stevem@mnmadehockey.com
