Megan Myers, a native of Las Vegas, NV, has signed a two-year contract with the Boston Blades.

Last season Myers was a leading scorer for the Blades, notching four goals and three assists in 17 games. In the 2014-2015 season, Myers recorded two assists in 12 games.

Myers, a native of Las Vegas, NV, is a graduate of Utica College.  She registered 143 career points.

"I couldn't be happier to sign my new contract with the Boston Blades," said Myers. "Not only to play more hockey, but to do so with my amazing teammates."

The decision was an easy one, Myers said, despite the challenges the team faced last season. The Blades went 1-23-0.

"Our record didn't show the hard work and dedication each one of us put in last season," she said. "I believe if we continue to grow, value team chemistry and work hard that we will do better in the win-loss column next season."

Myers also serves as an assistant coach for the Becker College Women's Ice Hockey team.

"We are thrilled to keep Megan Myers on the Boston Blades roster for next season," said Boston Blades General Manager Krista Patronick. "Myers is the type of player who does all that is asked of her and more. She brings energy to the locker room and has stepped up as a leader. I'm excited to watch her continue to grow into that role."
