Sophomore pitcher Allison Long went 3-0 over the week in Florida to lead the Rhodes College Lynx to a 7-1 record at the Rebel Classic. Long pitched 25.1 innings including one relief appearance, allowing only three earned runs over the weekend while walking only three batters. She had an ERA of 0.83 over the entire week. Long started things off with a bang, pitching a no-hitter against Mitchell College. She went all seven innings, allowing no runs on no hits and only walking one batter. She made a relief appearance against No. 17 Central, limiting their hot offense in 4.1 innings of work. Long followed that up with a complete game victory over Hiram, allowing only one run on five hits and then went the distance against McDaniel, earning her second complete game shutout of the week, allowing no runs on six hits and walking no batters.
