Sugar Land put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Euless to score on any of their five power plays.

Sugar Land additionally got points from Zac McKenna, who also registered one goal and one assist. Sugar Land also got a goal from Nicholas Krivokuca as well. In addition, Sugar Land received assists from Alex Norwinski, who had two and Keith Allen, Trevor Wolf, Kyle Hooper, and Luca Valenza, who each chipped in one.

Euless kept Sugar Land's goalie busy throughout the game, and Kevin Mackey made 34 saves on 38 shots.

Euless were led by Triston Wilson, who registered two goals.Wilson scored the first of his two goals at 10:35 into the third period to make the score 3-2 Sugar Land. The goal was assisted by Benjamin Kraus and Quincy Childress. Wilson's next tally made the score 4-3 Sugar Land in the third period. Kayne Fedor claimed the first assist on the goal, and Nick Snyder got the second.Euless also had goals scored by Brandon Wade and Ian Linna, who each put in one and Wilson, who had two. More assists for Euless came via Fedor, who had two and Snyder, Axel Olson, Kraus, and Childress, who contributed one apiece.

Sugar Land incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Euless incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
