The win gave Carleton Place a one-zero lead in the best of seven series.

Canadians put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Pembroke to score on any of their four power plays.

Carleton Place also got a goal from Bryce VanHorn as well. In addition, Carleton Place received assists from Brett Murray, Marcus Joseph, Lucas Batt, Maxime StPierre, Jordan Larson, and Alex Robinson, who each chipped in one.

Colton Point rejected 17 shots on goal for Carleton Place. Canadians incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Lumber Kings' Boyd Diclemente stopped 24 shots out of the 26 that he faced. Pembroke incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
