The North Iowa Bulls are pleased to announce that defenseman Adam Orn from Anoka, Minnesota has made his NCAA Division III college commitment. Orn, a captain for the North Iowa Bulls, has selected St. John's University of the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) to continue his academic and hockey development.

"Adam has made great strides in his game here," said head coach Todd Sanden. "He came to us as a confident but raw defenseman out of Anoka high school. He has maintained the high level of confidence and rounded out his game that not only has him leading the Bulls in plus/minus as a defenseman but also leading the defenseman in scoring."

A recent member of the 2016 NA3HL Central Division Top Prospects team, Orn has amassed 60 points in 83 career NA3HL games and maintained a +78 going into the final weekend of the regular season. The 20-year-old had two assists in three games at the 3HL Top Prospects Tournament. Orn was also the NA3HL's Defenseman of the Month in November and the runner-up for the same award in February.

"We will rely on Adam's leadership and his responsible play to lead us during the playoff run," added Sanden.

The North Iowa Bulls wish Adam Orn the best as he pursues the next step in his development as a person and hockey player.
