Pittsford defeats Fairport 3-1 in the 2016 Section V Hockey Class A championship game.  Connor Haims scores a power play goal at 4:56 of the 1st period assisted by Quinn Doyle and Ryan Walpole.  The game would remain 1-0 through two period of play.  In the third period Pittsford Connor Haims scores another power play goal assisted by Griffin Avery and Brett Sauer at 6:05 of the 3rd period.  Fairport responded at 13:35 of the 3rd period with an extra attacker scoring was Fairport's Mason Eichmann.  Pittsford Connor Haims scores an unassisted empty net goal for the hatrick at 14:44 of the 3rd period.  Connor Haims hatrick in a championship game ultimately provided him the honor of being the MVP of the game!  Fairport outshot Pittsford 24-22.

Pittsford will be travelling to Section 6 for state regionals to play either the winner of the game to be played Monday, February 29th at 4PM between Niagara Wheatfield and Williamsville North.
