Mason Carlisle lifted West Allegheny to a 5-1 victory with a hat trick against South Fayette.
Carlisle notched his first tally 10:53 into the first period. He then added goals at 2:41 into the third and at 13:50 into the third.West Allegheny's Anthony Dominick was a brick wall in net, as he came up with 28 saves and let only one puck past him. Dominick certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 2.82 entering the contest.
West Allegheny's offense rang up 35 shots on South Fayette's net.
West Allegheny also got points from Austin Young, who also finished with one goal and one assist. West Allegheny also got a goal from Ryan Rohm as well. Other players who recorded assists for West Allegheny were Jess Ligas, who had four and Hunter Ross, Nicholas Skowron, and Anthony Kriznik, who contributed one each.
South Fayette stifled West Allegheny's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. South Fayette could not produce up to its normal offensive output. South Fayette puts an average of 5.9 pucks into the net per game.
