Strathroy rebounded from a two-goal deficit to tie St. Thomas,.
The Rockets' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on eight St. Thomas power plays. Strathroy forced the Stars goalie Nikolas Dampier to work between the pipes, taking 38 shots.
The Rockets were helped by Codey McRoberts, who finished with one goal. McRoberts scored 14:02 into the second period to make the score 2-2. Kieran Milne provided the assist. Strathroy also had goals scored by Nick Griffin and Max Ewart, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Strathroy were Evan Hogg, who had one and Dillon Saunders, who had two.
St. Thomas stifled Strathroy's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Rockets were unable to stop the Stars from sending pucks towards the net, and St. Thomas eventually piled up 36 shots on goal.

Dan Davies made 33 saves for Strathroy on 36 shots. The Rockets incurred 30 minutes in penalty time with 10 minors. For Strathroy, Lucas Latina was ejected from the game. St. Thomas' Dampier stopped 35 shots out of the 38 that he faced. The Stars incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. St. Thomas ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Lucas Mastroianni was ejected from the game.
