Bishop McCort wins tough contest against Serra Catholic, 6-5

The game between Bishop McCort and Serra Catholic was tight through all 60 minutes, but in the end Bishop McCort emerged with a 6-5 win.

Neither team gained more than a one-goal lead, and Anthony Formica's goal in the third period proved to be the difference maker.

Formica and Brett Seitz provided the spark for Bishop McCort, combining for two goals and six assists. Formica had one goal and three assists and Seitz also notched one goal and three assists.

Serra Catholic was unable to stop Bishop McCort from sending pucks towards the net, and Bishop McCort eventually piled up 60 shots on goal.

Bishop McCort additionally got points from Connor Bunn, who also finished with one goal and one assist, Tristan Mock, who also racked up one goal and one assist, and Seitz, who also registered one goal and three assists to lead the team in points. Others who scored for Bishop McCort included Christopher Miller and Mitchell Knecht, who each put in one.

Serra Catholic was led by Roman Kraemer, who grabbed two goals and two assists. Kraemer scored the first of his two goals at 6:36 into the first period to make the score 2-2. Serra Catholic had gotten the advantage when Bishop McCort's Miller was sent off for roughing. Michael Ulishney provided the assist.
