Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as the Ottawa Midget AAA Senators defeated the CIHA Green Midget AAA Green in a shootout 3-2 (2-1 SO).

The shootout lasted for six attempts between the teams. CIHA Green Midget AAA's shootout goal was scored by Trevor Finch. In addition to the clincher, Ottawa Midget AAA got a shootout goal from Danny Johnson.

The Senators excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances.

Ottawa Midget AAA was helped by Daniel Lambert, who registered one goal. Lambert scored 14:36 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Ottawa Midget AAA. Tyler Newell assisted on the tally. Jean-Sylvain Boyer also scored for Ottawa Midget AAA.

The Green were helped by Marc-Andre Lecouffe, who finished with one goal. Lecouffe scored 9:13 into the second period to make the score 2-2. Bryson Michel picked up the assist. CIHA Green Midget AAA also got a goal from Gregory Rogers as well. In addition, CIHA Green Midget AAA received assists from Matthew Grouchy and James Hounsome, who contributed one each.

The Senators incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. CIHA Green Midget AAA incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
