Behind a great game by Jess Ligas, who had one goal and three assists, West Allegheny defeated South Park, 5-2.

Ligas beat Shane Walker with a shot 3:05 into the second period to make the score 2-0 West Allegheny. Ligas dished an assist on Sean Weber's goal that made the score 1-0 West Allegheny at 3:12 into the first period. He then added assists on Jaret Mielnicki's goal at 11:54 into the second and on Weber's goal at 16:30 into the second.

West Allegheny stifled South Park's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. West Allegheny forced South Park goalie Walker to work between the pipes, taking 47 shots. West Allegheny struggled to stay out of the sin bin throughout the game as it finished the game with 34 penalty minutes for four opposing power plays.

West Allegheny additionally got points from Mielnicki, who also finished with two goals and one assist and Weber, who also tallied two goals and one assist. In addition, West Allegheny received assists from Hunter Ross and Anthony Kriznik, who contributed one each.

South Park's offense operated below its season average. South Park averages 4.6 goals per game.

South Park was led by Michael Marynchak, who had one goal and one assist. Marynchak scored 16:10 into the third period to make the score 5-2 West Allegheny. Justin Hickey assisted on the tally. Tanner Orr also scored for South Park. Other players who recorded assists for South Park were Hunter Lanetz, who had one.

West Allegheny's Anthony Dominick stopped 26 shots out of the 28 that he faced. West Allegheny registered one goal on three power play opportunities.
