Huge game by Boulard boosts Napanee over Picton, 7-3

Behind a great game by Austin Boulard, who had two goals and one assist, the Napanee Raiders defeated the Picton Pirates, 7-3.

Boulard scored at 6:47 into the third period to make the score 5-3 Napanee and again while 18:04 into the third to make the score 7-3 Napanee.

In a losing effort, Picton was paced by Nick Devito, who grabbed two goals and one assist. Devito scored the first of his two goals at 12:42 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Napanee. Tye Eaton picked up the assist. Devito's next tally made the score 4-3 Napanee with 18:58 left in the third period. Tyler Allison (APM) provided the assist.

Napanee forced Pirates' goalies to work in net, racking up 41 shots and forcing 34 saves. Charles Grimard made 14 stops and Kevin Valdez made 20. The Raiders' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five Picton power plays. Napanee found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. This season, the Raiders average 4.2 goals per contest.

Napanee additionally got points from Cullen Hinds, who also finished with one goal and one assist, Aidan McFarland, who also registered one goal and one assist, and Jordan Cannons, who also racked up two goals and one assist. Brodie Butt also scored for Napanee. Other players who recorded assists for Napanee were Ryley Richardson, who had two and Riley Steeves, Zach Knapp-Hermer, and Chris Rogalsky, who contributed one each.

The Pirates' offense rang up 37 shots on Napanee's net. Picton could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 46 minutes in penalties during the game.

Picton also got a goal from Mitch Thompson as well. More assists for Picton came via Trey Maracle, who had one.

Cameron Parr made 34 saves for the Raiders on 37 shots. Napanee incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
