Mars - JV had a five-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 7-0 win over Moon - JV.

Mars - JV pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 33 penalty minutes.

Mars - JV was paced by Hunter Riemer, who grabbed one goal. Riemer scored 2:51 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Mars - JV. Jacob Hulbert picked up the assist.

Mars - JV put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Moon - JV to score on any of its six power plays. Moon - JV was unable to stop Mars - JV from sending pucks towards the net, and Mars - JV eventually piled up 35 shots on goal. Mars - JV bested its season scoring average. Mars - JV averages 4.1 goals per game.

Mars - JV also got points from Braden Hanna, who also registered one goal and one assist and Nicholas Kiefer, who also had one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Mars - JV included Jared Taylor, who had two and Ryan Norris and Patrick McCann, who each put in one. In addition, Mars - JV received assists from James Kay and Friday Elder, who each chipped in one.

Moon - JV forced its penalty killing units to work especially hard during the game, picking up seven minors and one major for 49 minutes in penalty time.
