Corey Pawley gave the Caledonia Corvairs a 5-4 (OT) victory over the Niagara Falls Canucks when he scored 4:37 into the extra period.

Niagara Falls could not complete its climb out of a three-goal hole. Caledonia made it 3-0 on a goal by Tait Seguin at 11:43 in the second period. The Canucks pulled to within 3-2 on a power play goal by Zack Lansfield at 2:32 in the third period.

Pawley had a great game for the Corvairs, netting two goals.

Referees had their hands full with a major incident at 10:11 into the third period. Four fighting penalties were dished out along with two game misconducts.

Caledonia was often in penalty trouble, totaling 16 minors and one major for 127 minutes in penalty time. The total exceeded the 39.0 minutes per game the Corvairs had been spending in the box. Niagara Falls was unable to stop Caledonia from sending pucks towards the net, and the Corvairs eventually piled up 41 shots on goal. Caledonia gave up more goals than its normal season average. The Corvairs are averaging 1.9 goal against for the season.

Caledonia also had goals scored by Daniel Volpe and Matthew Hore, who each put in one. In addition, Caledonia received assists from Ryan Moran, Davis Brown, Ryan Punkari, Nick Zottl, Jordan Brown, Quentin Maksimovich, and Jake Brown, who contributed one each.

The Canucks forced their penalty killing units to work especially hard during the game, picking up nine minors and one major for 43 minutes in penalty time. Niagara Falls surpassed its season average of 23.0 penalty minutes per game. The Canucks' offense rang up 46 shots on Caledonia's net.

Niagara Falls additionally got points from Matthew Marsden, who also had one goal and one assist. Thomas Flack also scored for Niagara Falls. More assists for Niagara Falls came via Scott Grieve, who had two and Frank Pucci, Matthew Baldinelli, Peter Falivena, and Austin Bottrell, who each chipped in one.
