The North Pittsburgh Wildcats 16U AA team won the My Hockey Midwinter Classic here in Pittsburgh this past weekend.  The team competed in the U16AA Minor Division.  The team defeated the Ashburn Extreme 6-1, lost to the Houston Wild 2-1, rebounded to defeat the Easton (Maryland) Ice Hawks 6-5.  In the semi-final, the squad defeated the Southpointe Rink Rats 2-1 to earn a rematch against Houston.  In the finals, the team defeated the Houston (Texas) Wild 3-2 in a shootout (2-1 in the shootout) to bring home the championship.

The team is coached by Chris Chiusano.  Congratulations to all players, coaches, and families for a job well done!
