Orangeville overcame a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. The Flyers was down 3-1 after a goal by Buffalo's Ryan Wheeler at 16:14 in the second period. Orangeville tied things up at 3-3 on a power play goal by Daniel DeRose at 3:09 in the third period.

The Flyers' penalty kill excelled, as Orangeville gave up one goal despite allowing six power plays.

The Flyers racked up the penalties in the contest, and ended with 10 minors and one major for 35 minutes in penalty time. Orangeville surpassed its season average of 16.0 penalty minutes per game. The Flyers kept the Jr. Sabres' goalie busy throughout the game, and Tucker Weppner made 30 saves on 34 shots. Orangeville got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game.
