The Napanee Raiders tried to dig themselves out of a two-goal hole, but the Campbellford Rebels held on for a 3-2 victory.
A goal by Jeremiah Doherty put Campbellford up 3-1 in the third period, but Napanee pulled to within one on Jordan Cannons's tally 16:12 into the third period.
Doherty had a great game for the Rebels, netting two goals.
Campbellford took advantage of the Raiders' penalties, tallying two goals off of three power play opportunities.
Ethan McDougall also scored for Campbellford. More assists for Campbellford came via Julian Nick APM, Graiden Maynard, Brenan Rylott, and Tristan Nugent, who contributed one each.
Napanee could not produce up to its normal offensive output. The Raiders put an average of 4.3 pucks into the net per game. Napanee forced the Rebels goalie Tyler Freemen to work between the pipes, taking 55 shots.
Napanee also got a goal from Riley Steeves as well. In addition, Napanee received assists from Zach Knapp-Hermer and Matt Loveys, who each chipped in one.
Freemen rejected 53 shots on goal for Campbellford. The Rebels incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. The Raiders' Loveys stopped 22 shots out of the 25 that he faced. Napanee incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
