The Penetang Kings had trouble finding ways to stop the Alliston Hornets, which beat Kings, 6-1.
Alliston was led by Joe Cochrane, who grabbed one goal. Cochrane scored on the power play 15:07 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Alliston. The Hornets had gotten the advantage when Penetang's Michael Paul was sent off for tripping. Stephen Nosad assisted on the tally.
Alliston forced the Kings' netminders to work without much rest, finishing with 55 shots and forcing 49 saves. Andrew North made 49 stops and Hunter Ferguson made zero.
Alliston additionally got points from Will Ferguson, who also tallied one goal and three assists to lead the team in points, Jackson Arcan, who also finished with one goal and two assists, and Ryan Sallows, who also registered two goals and one assist. Alliston also got a goal from John Gage as well. In addition, Alliston received assists from Brady Martin, Nick Arcan, and Mackenzie Flewelling, who contributed one each.
Penetang could not produce up to its normal offensive output. The Kings average 3.5 goals per game.
Braeden Dorion also scored for Penetang.
Tyler Brindle made 14 saves for the Hornets on 15 shots. Alliston incurred 30 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Penetang incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with three minors.
