Plum beats North Hills 5-2 as Puhala gets hat trick

Nolan Puhala netted a hat trick to lead Plum over North Hills, 5-2.

Puhala's first goal came 8:17 into the second period. He then added goals at 5:14 into the third and at 9:23 into the third.

Plum excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. Plum's offense rang up 31 shots on North Hills' net.

Plum also got points from Zachary Nolan, who also tallied one goal and one assist and Domenic Borriello, who also finished with one goal and one assist. More assists for Plum came via Zach Keller, who had three and Connor Cenci and Colin Patton, who contributed one each.

North Hills was helped by Gannon Warrick, who racked up one goal. Warrick scored short handed 15:23 into the second period to make the score 2-2. North Hills played down a man on Shea Jones's hooking. Jeremiah Polaski provided the assist. Jarrett Warrick also scored for North Hills. In addition, North Hills received assists from Jesse Weideman, who had one.

Nathan Puhala rejected 26 shots on goal for Plum. Plum incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Dominic Porco recorded 26 saves for North Hills. North Hills incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
