Behind two goals from Hunter Lanetz and one goal Nicholas Gildea, South Park downed Freeport 6-3.

Lanetz scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 31 seconds into the third period to make the score 3-2 South Park. Lanetz's next tally on the power play made the score 6-2 South Park with 9:32 left in the third period. A roughing penalty on Stone Haberstroh had put South Park on the power play. Michael Marynchak picked up the assist. Gildea scored 50 seconds into the third period to make the score 4-2 South Park. Jakob Hickey assisted on the tally.

Freeport's power play was ineffective against South Park's penalty kill, which allowed one goal while shorthanded.

South Park forced Freeport goalie Katelyn Hill to work between the pipes, taking 35 shots. South Park could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 40 minutes in penalties during the game.

South Park additionally got points from Marynchak, who also grabbed two goals and one assist and Tanner Orr, who also finished with one goal and one assist. More assists for South Park came via Montijo Goob, who had one.

Freeport could not produce up to its normal offensive output. Freeport averages 6.6 goals per game. South Park was unable to stop Freeport from sending pucks towards the net, and Freeport eventually piled up 35 shots on goal. Freeport struggled to stay out of the sin bin throughout the game as it finished the game with 44 penalty minutes for 13 opposing power plays.

Freeport was led by Robert Reichenbaugh, who registered two goals and one assist. Reichenbaugh scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 11:45 into the second period to make the score 2-1 South Park. Freeport earned a power play opportunity when Justin Hickey was put in the box for checking from behind. Benjamin Drzemiecki picked up the assist. Reichenbaugh's next tally on the power play made the score 2-2 with 4:12 left in the second period. Freeport was on a disadvantage when Slade Ohl went off the ice for cross checking.

Shane Walker made 32 saves for South Park on 35 shots. Freeport's Hill stopped 29 shots out of the 35 that he faced.
