North Allegheny outlasts Butler, 5-4

Butler pulled out a 5-4 (OT) overtime victory over Pine-Richland on a clutch goal by Trevor Gilliland.
Butler was paced by Gilliland, who had one goal and one assist. Gilliland scored 2:56 into overtime to make the score 5-4 Butler. Connor Scott picked up the assist.
In a losing effort, Pine-Richland was led by Antonio Binotto, who registered two goals. Binotto scored the first of his two goals at 1:25 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Pine-Richland. Jordan Rosenbaum assisted on the tally. Binotto's next tally made the score 3-3 with 12:26 left in the second period. An interference penalty on Cameron Barto had put Pine-Richland on the power play. Jack Drury picked up the assist.
Pine-Richland was unable to stop Butler from sending pucks towards the net, and Butler eventually piled up 31 shots on goal.
Butler also got points from Sam Gross, who also tallied one goal and one assist and Ben Rodgers, who also racked up one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Others who scored for Butler included Ronan Miller and Ryan Rebmmann, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Butler were Braiden Neff, who had one.
Pine-Richland managed to stay out of the box better than usual, finishing with one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Pine-Richland ended up below its season average of 13.0 penalty minutes per game.
Pine-Richland additionally got points from Drury, who also grabbed one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Pine-Richland also got a goal from Andrew Rossi as well. In addition, Pine-Richland received assists from Nate Carnovale, who had one.
Butler's Zachary Schnur stopped 23 shots out of the 27 that he faced. Butler incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors and had no power play opportunities. Anthony Szafranski made 26 saves for Pine-Richland on 31 shots. Pine-Richland registered one goal on three power play opportunities.
