OTTAWA uses early goal to top SOUTHWEST, 2-0

Tasza Tarnowski scored the go-ahead goal in the first period, and OTTAWA held off the challenges of SOUTHWEST in a tough 2-0 win.

A goal 9:24 into the first period by Tarnowski proved to be the game winner, and powered OTTAWA to the victory. Sophie Veronneau picked up the assist.

OTTAWA was led by Tarnowski, who grabbed one goal.

OTTAWA was steadier on the defensive front than it has been for much of this season. OTTAWA averages 2.6 goals allowed per game.

Coralie Larose also scored for OTTAWA. In addition, OTTAWA received assists from Jensen Smigelsky, Maddison Stitt, and Chantal Gudbranson, who contributed one each.

Jennifer Walker made 20 saves for OTTAWA on 20 shots. OTTAWA incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Emily OBright recorded 25 saves for SOUTHWEST. SOUTHWEST incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
