In a game considered to be a close fought NFC East type of battle, the Eagles wanted no part of that, instead came out looking like a team all fans were expecting when the season started, even resembled a Dream Team.

Coming into the game Andy Reid’s Eagles were a perfect 12-0 after the bye-week and whatever he is doing, it’s clearly working. It didn’t take long for the Eagles to take an early lead as Vick drove the Birds down the field on their opening drive that resulted in a 12-yard Jeremy Maclin touchdown. Next offensive drive, they didn’t led up as McCoy scored on a 2-yard run and late in 2nd, Brent Celek caught a 9-yard touchdown to give the Eagles a 24-0 lead heading into the half.

Second half wasn’t any different as the Eagles offense continued the scoring attack, scoring the next 10 points and not allowing Dallas to score until the 4th quarter. Eagles offense converted on 31 first downs as opposed to Cowboys 12 and scoredon their first six possessions against the Cowboys -- four TDs, two FGs. They also converted on their first five third-down chances. The Eagles are 54-14 when they score points on their opening drive.

The Birds defense was stellar, not allowing Dez Bryant or Austin Miles to beat them the whole game and neither made a catch until the 3rd quarter. The defensive line combined for four sacks, two by Jason Babin and pro bowl corner Nnamdi Asmougha recorded his second interception of the season.

The Cowboys came into the game ranked first in the NFL against the run. They won't be this morning, after the league's top rushing attack carved out 196 rushing yards on 29 carries through three quarters. LeSean McCoy, through three quarters, had 142 yards on 21 carries; that was, of course, before Shady's 13-yard touchdown run that made it 34-0 on the third play of the fourth quarter. He finished with a career-high 185 yards on 30 carries. It was the most rushing yards by an Eagles running back against the Cowboys since Duce Staley romped for 201 in 2000.

"I was proud of our guys, the way they came out," Reid said. "Offensively, defensively, and special teams were solid, played good football."

Michael Vick was 17 of 24 for 247 yards and two touchdowns through three quarters, racking up a 131.8 passer rating. (Vick finished 21-for-28 for 279, and a 129.9 rating.) He also ran seven times for 50 yards.

"The Eagles are back. The Eagles are back and we're ready to play Eagle Football," cornerback Asante Samuel boasted. "We did that on primetime, so everybody could see. Hopefully we can use this as a motivation factor and keep going."
