West Allegheny takes care of Wheeling Park early, wins 8-1

Wheeling Park fell behind early, and West Allegheny kept piling on the points on the way to an 8-1 victory.

Mason Carlisle had two goals to lead West Allegheny to victory. Carlisle scored short handed at 8:13 into the first period to make the score 2-0 West Allegheny and again while on the power play 5:08 into the second to make the score 5-0 West Allegheny.

West Allegheny put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Wheeling Park to score on any of its three power plays. West Allegheny kept Wheeling Park's goalie busy throughout the game, and Dorothy Romanek made 36 saves on 44 shots.

West Allegheny additionally got points from Jess Ligas, who also grabbed two goals and three assists to lead the team in points, Ryan Rohm, who also had one goal and one assist, and Sean Weber, who also racked up one goal and two assists. Others who scored for West Allegheny included Brendan Derosky and Nicholas Skowron, who each put in one. In addition, West Allegheny received assists from Martin Durkin, who had two.

Anthony Dominick made 14 saves for West Allegheny on 15 shots. West Allegheny incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Wheeling Park incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
