Stock Shuts Out Brampton in 4-0 Win

The Boston Blades played their final home game of the season Sunday, February 22nd beating the Brampton Thunder 4-0.

Nicole Stock got the start in net, making her CWHL debut, and she made the most of it. Stock, the first star of the game, looked great in net from the start to the finish of the game. Her efforts led to her being the first star of the game.

On the offensive side, rookie Brianna Decker continued to show her completeness as a player. She got the scoring started on a power play, making the score 1-0. Monique Lamoureux assisted decker. After a few unsuccessful power plays for both sides, the first period ended with a score of 1-0.

On another power play advantage, this time in the second period, it was again Brianna Decker who put the puck in the net. Jenny Potter and Tara Watchorn assisted decker. The second period concluded with a score of 2-0, Blades on top.

The Blades weren’t done scoring yet. In the third period, Rachel Llanes assisted by Decker added to the Blades lead. Next it would be Jillian Dempsey assisted by Corinne Buie to score the fourth and final goal of the game. Nicole Stock would be good for the shut out.

Following the game, fans skated with the players as a part of Fan Appreciation Weekend. The Blades next take on the Montreal Stars in Montreal.
