Brookings, SD – The Brookings Blizzard have added two preseason games to their 2015-2016 schedule.

The Blizzard will host the Aberdeen Wings, on Friday, September 11th, as part of a home-and-away series with their in-state rivals from the North American Hockey League’s Central Division. The Blizzard travel to Aberdeen the following night, Saturday the 12th, to finish the preseason schedule.

The Blizzard are proud to be a part of Aberdeen’s Out of the Darkness Walk prior to Saturday’s game. The Blizzard invite all of their fans to participate in the walk, which raises money for suicide prevention education in the Aberdeen area. Per an Aberdeen release, registration for the walk begins at 9:00 a.m., and the walk itself starts at 10:30 a.m. The Blizzard encourage their fans to purchase an Out of the Darkness T-shirt and receive free admission to the game.

Brookings’ home preseason game on Friday the 11th will feature specially priced tickets and discounted beer. Fans can purchase general admission tickets for $5, and all beer prices will be cut to $2.50 per 16oz can. Puck drop is at 7:30 p.m.
